Applicants appearing for the upcoming CSIR UGC NET 2025 Exam must ensure they are eligible for the exam and fulfil the criteria mentioned below: 

  • Candidates must be a Master’s qualified or equivalent in disciplines of Mathematical Sciences, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, or Earth Sciences.
  • The minimum marks required in the PG degree by the General and dOBC categories is 55% and 50% for SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender candidates.
  • The maximum age required to be eligible for JRF is 28 years and 5 years relaxation for SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender and 3 years for OBC-NCL.
  • There are no upper age restrictions for Lectureship/Assistant Professorship.
  • Candidates with Indian citizenship are allowed only. 
  • Integrated MS-PhD candidates are eligible if they meet degree and marks requirements.
