What can be Corrected in JEE Main Session 2 Application?

The correction window of JEE Mains is not an open-ended interface for making changes. The NTA normally only allows revisions to specific areas of the application form. Here are some frequent locations in which corrections are permitted:

  1. Personal Information:
  2. Contact Details: Contact details include email address, mobile number, and other contact information. Keeping these details up to date is critical for receiving notifications and other essential information.
  3. Address: If you have just relocated or need to update your permanent/residential address, this is the place to do it.
  4. Photograph and Signature: If there is an issue with the uploaded photograph or signature, candidates may be offered the option of re-uploading.
  5. Exam Details
    1. Exam Centre Preferences: Depending on availability or personal convenience, you may need to change your desired exam centre. You can change these settings using the correction window.
    2. Choice of Elective Subjects: When candidates have the choice of selecting subjects or streams, the correction box may include an edit option.
  6. Academic Information
    1. Details of Qualifying Examination: If there is an error in your academic information, such as marks or board information, this area can be amended.
    2. Category and Reservation Details: Corrections to category or reservation details are sometimes permitted, ensuring that your application has the most accurate information possible.
  7. Other Administrative Details
    1. Payment Details: While the maximum number of price records is the last to be submitted, there may be procedures to amend minor inconsistencies in price-related information.
    2. Miscellaneous Errors: Any typographical or inadvertent errors that may impair the processing of your utility.

It is important to note that not every aspect of the software can be edited. For example, a few basic details are likely to be locked after input to protect the software method's integrity.
