The National Common Entrance Test [NCET] 2025 Online Application Process for Admission to the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) is now open. For the Academic Session 2025-26, the National Testing Agency (NTA), entrusted by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), will conduct NCET 2025 for admission to ITEP in selected Central/State Universities and Institutions, including IITs, NITs, RIEs, and Government Colleges. The ITEP is a dual major program in which the first major is Education with school-specific stage specialization and the second is an elective topic. This test will be administered in 178 cities and 13 mediums across India using a Computer Based Test (CBT).

Eligibility Criteria for NTA NCET 2025

The eligibility criteria for NTA NCET 2025 include a variety of prerequisites that potential applicants must meet in order to participate in the exam. The qualifying criteria for the exam include age limits, educational qualifications, age limits, and any additional requirements imposed by the NTA.

  • NCET 2025 Age Limit: There is no age limit for applying to the NTA NCET 2025 examination.
  • NCET Educational Qualification 2025: As per the official notification of the NTA NCET, aspirants must have completed their intermediate (10+2) qualification from any recognized board of education by securing a score of at least 55% to 60% in their core subjects.

Candidates for the NTA NCET 2025 must submit an online application by March 16, 2025. The registration process is necessary for taking the exam on April 29, 2025. The application form can be obtained at exams.nta.ac.in/NCET. Those who do not submit their NTA NCET online registrations 2025 by the deadline will be unable to sit the exam.

Candidates who want to take the NTA NCET 2025 exam must first fill out the NTA NCET Online form as part of the NCET registration process. Follow the easy steps listed below:

  • Visit the National Testing Agency (NTA)'s official website at https://www.nta.ac.in.
  • Navigate to and click the "New Registration Link".
  • Provide your name, date of birth (DOB), email address, and phone number.
  • Candidates should generate a User ID and a strong password.
  • Before submitting your final application, please preview it.
  • You will receive a confirmation email or SMS, along with your login information and registration number.
  • To complete the application form, log in to your NTA portal account and fill out the appropriate fields, which include personal information, educational qualifications, and contact data.
  • Upload relevant papers in scanned format, such as passport-sized photos, signatures, and other necessary paperwork.
  • Pay the registration fee category-wise as provided by the NTA NCET.

There are 38 different languages. Any two languages need to be chosen.  Language 1 and Language 2. 

1. 02 different Language papers are to be chosen.

 

2. Each language paper will have 23 questions out of which 20 questions need to be attempted.  

Section 2 - Domain Specific Subjects

26 Domain-specific subjects are being offered under this section. A candidate may choose any three subjects as desired by the applicable University/ Universities/ Institution.

1. 03 Domain Specific subjects are to be chosen.

 

2. Each domain-specific subject will have 28 questions out of which 25 questions need to be attempted.

Section 3 - General Test

This is a mandatory section.  The General Test will have 28 questions out of which 25 questions need to be attempted. 

Section 4 - Teaching Aptitude

This is a mandatory section.   Teaching Aptitude will have 23 questions out of which 20 questions need to be attempted. 

Note:- 

  1. There will be 160 questions to attempt out of a total of 181. Each subject will have three question options.
  2. Depending on the number of candidates and their subject choices, the examination may be held across many days in two shifts.
