
JEE Main 2025 Dress Code for Male & Female Candidates: What to wear?

Key Dress Code Rules
For Male Candidates:
- Don't wear anything made of metal.
- No headgear, including mufflers or caps.
- Wear comfortable, light clothing.
- Rings and bracelets are among the jewellery and accessories that are prohibited.
- We don't allow shoes with thick soles.
For Female Candidates:
- No dupattas, stoles, or scarves.

Exam Day Guidelines
Aspirants are advised to keep themselves updated with the exam centre a day before the examination making sure to arrive on time. Aspirants are expected to reach the examination centre at least an hour before and bring all the essential documents including an admit card, passport-size photo, and an authentic photo ID. Failure to meet these conditions could lead to exam disqualification.
Electronic devices and cell phones are among the prohibited objects that are not allowed in the exam room. To preserve the integrity of the exam, the NTA will perform thorough frisking, including after any toilet breaks.
